'Messi Meets America': Release date, trailer, what to know about Apple TV+ docuseries

Lionel Messi's move from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami was one of the biggest sports stories of the summer.
Apple TV+ is offering fans a behind-the-scenes look of how it went down, and how it's going, with a six-part docuseries titled "Messi Meets America."
According to a news release from the streaming platform, the docuseries "takes viewers behind the scenes as the greatest player to ever step on the pitch leads his new team to a Leagues Cup title and beyond."
The series will examine Messi's immersion in America, according to the release, and analyze the impact he is having on soccer in North America as "Messi Mania crisscrosses the continent."

'Messi Meets America' release date
The first three episodes of the docuseries will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 11 on Apple TV+.
According to Apple, additional episodes are currently in production and will premiere later this season.
